It is such a useful tool that some teachers ban. Music and guitar playing is an expression with no limits. The subject in this video is able to wrap his entire hand around the neck of the guitar and have the thumb resting on the tops of his index and ring fingers. When I hold my hand up to someone else's hand, it never seems that small; but I can't even come close to wrapping my hand around the neck.
